Umberto Porcaro Band (Italia) va încânta cu siguranţă publicul de la Braşov, întrucât liderul formaţiei este considerat cel mai bun chitarist de blues din Italia. Născut la Palermo în 1979, Umberto Porcaro a intrat în lumea muzicii cu peste 30 de ani în urmă.

Pasiunea sa pentru muzica Blues conducandu-l, de o serie de prime experiențe cu trupe locale din Italia, spre Chicago, unde a avut ocazia să cânte alături de Billy Branch și The Sons of Blues, Fernando Jones, Eomot Rasun sau Johnny Dollar. Nu a mai durat mult şi vituozul chitarist a ajuns să cânte cu bluesmeni precum B.B. King, Canned Heat, Kim Wilson sau Robben Ford. Umberto Porcaro Band este actualemente o prezență constantă a marilor festivaluri de blues din întreaga lume, ajungând și la Brașov în premieră națională.

Umberto Porcaro, born in 1979, has been playing guitar for the last 30 years. His passion for Blues music started in his early age, and it has brought him to play along with the greatest, international blues men. After his first experiences with local bands, Umberto visits Chicago for the first time, where he gets to perform with Billy Branch and The Sons of Blues, Fernando Jones, Eomot Rasun, Johnny Dollar. He publishes his first record “You Belong To Me”, followed by “Burn The Day Away”, receiving a great appreciation from national and international press.

He later wins the auditions for “Obiettivo Blues In”, during the Pistoia Blues Festival, earning the chance to perform with amazing artists such BB KING, BUDDY GUY, ROBBEN FORD, ROY ROGERS, CANNET HEAT, THE BLUES BAND and to be included in the compilation of the Pistoia Blues Festival album. Umberto moves to the States, between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Here is where he gets to exhibit in the most famous Blues clubs of America, such as Café Boogaloo in Hermosa Beach (Los Angeles), The Saloon (San Francisco), Mojo Lounge (Freemont), and the “Biscuit and Blues” also in San Francisco. While in California, Umberto meets other great Blues artists such as Kim Wilson, Kid Ramos, Junior Watson, Murk, Hollywood Blues Flames.

“Take me home” is an album with eleven songs, ten own compositions and one coming from Giulio Campagnolo, where he tastefully combines with a very professional display styles like gospel, soul-jazz and, of course, a good dose of blues. Besides showing himself as a creative guitar player and an interesting singer, Porcaro is backed by Giulio Campagnolo on Hammond, Stanley Sargeant on bass in eight cuts and drummers Federico Patarnello and Moreno Buttinar.

For the recording has counted with the special collaboration of three deluxe guests like Lurrie Bell on vocals and guitar in the song “It’s My Pleasure To Play The Blues”, Anson Funderburg on guitar in the song “Cool World” and Marco Pandolfi on harmonica in “Rollin’ Down Below”.
